Pedro Dot

This is a folio of photos and correspondence sent by Pedro Dot to Ralph Moore decades ago. I will be scanning these documents and formatting them into an article soon. These photos are unique and of great historical importance. I look forward to making them available to my readers.

  1. That will be extremely interesting to rose lovers and hybridizer-admirers like me.

I read somewhere that Sr. Dot worked without plant patents to protect his work.

  4. I think someone like you should write a biography on Mr Moore with these kinds of things in it... If you and Kim were to team up it would be an amazing and a fitting tribute. With your photographic skills and eloquence, and Kim's wealth of stories it would quickly become a rose classic. You could call it 'Touchstone' :)

  5. I also suggested this to Paul in another post Simon. Jim could also add to this book. I would be interested in hearing the stories and you could add pictures of his roses and descriptions to fill it out. I think it would sell fairly well. It would catch both people who are interested in gardening, roses and biographies. But books do take a lot of work.

  8. Hi Paul, I'm originally from Sant Feliu de Llobregat, a city that made Pere Dot hibridador their jobs. I'm very interested with the documentation you say that you found on the correspondence between R. Moore and himself. Unfortunately much of your file, not selling to family circumstances case has been lost and a group of citizens who have an association among others are recovering his legacy. Would be possible for us to make this correspondence hands? We could collaborate by exchanging information about them? Excuse my English Google. We let a couple of websites, one in Catalan wikipedia, made by me (you made the English version by Eric Timewell). See you soon.
